mad style

Forgive me. I know Mad Men style is talked-out but I'm late to the party and have just recently gotten into the show (in midst of Season 2 now) and felt compelled to post some favorite looks. Janie Bryant's costume design is brilliant. Unlike many period pieces, the clothes in Mad Men aren't showy and over-the-top. They have subtle charms and prints and reveal much about the characters . The show has been attributed to bringing back the fitted glam of the early 1960s. Its influence (belted waists and fitted dresses) is apparent in many of Fashion Week's 2010's collections.
