golden robes

It was sort of a muted year on the red carpet.

Lots of liquid metal, white, subdued tones, and pops of red.

Here is my little best dressed list.

Lupita Nyong'o

Even though all the amazing actors were shut-out, I'm glad that 12 Years a Slave deservedly won Best Picture - Drama.  Lupita Nyong'o totally rocked this vibrant red Ralph Lauren caped-gown.  I also love her hair (stylist Larry Sims crafted her deep-side part).

Sandra Bullock

I find the more laid back fashions of the Golden Globes fun and I'm always looking for a little risk so I went for Sandra Bullock's Prabal Gurung (a favorite of mine) in a big way, even though I wonder if she should have worn her hair down or a tad more dramatically instead of the pony.

Adèle Exarchopoulos

My probable Best Actress winner of the year Adèle Exarchopoulos looked really wonderful in this dark navy Miu Miu with hand-embroidered Swarovski crystals.

.

Also loved the keyhole back.

Olivia Wilde

Three baby bumps on this year's red carpet included Kerry Washington and Drew Barrymore.  A tad reminiscent of Angelina's awesome emerald Versace from 2011, I did totally dug Wilde's green sequined Gucci gown.

Lots of hot men last night too including Channing Tat-yum, Fassbender, Chris Evans, but my heart belongs to Mr. Chris Pratt (loved his suit and blue tie).  This gif makes me melt.

  3. Lupita was stunning, she stole the show! I didn't catch Chris Patt during the Red Carpet, but I like that look too - so simple, yet elegant. He polishes up nicely.
