shameless warren beatty picture post

So I recently watched Reds and I loved it.  I think I was seduced by Warren Beatty's charm but sort of amazed and awed by his directing skills. He definitely understood tone and how to scale the pic. Such an epic story but full of great scenes of intimacy.  Lord though was he hot back in the day.

  1. I really loved the tribute to Warren and enjoyed this particular selection of photographs! Beautiful photo of Annette and Warren together! My goodness, one forgets how dapper he was/is!

  2. One of my all-time favorite actors/directors. Splendor in the Grass, Mickey One, Bonnie and Clyde, McCabe & Mrs. Miller, Reds, Bulworth, the vastly underappreciated Ishtar - the proverbial tip of the iceberg and still an incredible collection of work.

I'll never forget the post-Reds screening Q-and-A at the NY Film Festival in October of 2006. A brilliant, charming and thoughtful man and artist and, hearing him speak in person, it was one of those nights I didn't want to see end.
